Notes

For details on the certification programs offered by ASNT, please [click here] and select the certification program you need.

Certification by ASNT does not constitute or imply licensure or endorsement by the Society of those individuals to practice NDT technology. It is the responsibility of the employer to certify an individual according to the employer's own written practice. The certificates listed here were earned by the individuals subject to the published rules and procedures cited above. In accordance with those rules, ASNT will not release further information concerning these individual certificates.

Employers and Clients Urged to Verify Level III Claims

Today's technology makes it easy to create false but convincing documents. Several cases of falsified ASNT certificates have been proven and the perpetrators legally bound by ASNT to cease and desist. Other cases of false documents and other frauds are pending.

Holders of valid ASNT NDT Level III certifications should have:

1. An ASNT NDT Level III Certificate, printed in black on parchment paper with an ASNT seal in raised gold, signed by the ASNT President and the Chairman of ASNT's Certification Management Council. The certificate will either carry endorsement stickers signed by ASNT's Manager of Technical Services or it will have a computer generated list of test methods, which shows the expiration date for each test method.

2. A plastic or laminated wallet card, signed by ASNT's Manager of Technical Services, showing the test methods in which the holder is certified and the expiration date for each method.

Because improper claims of NDT qualifications can invalidate contracts, damage quality and reputations and jeopardize lives, ASNT encourages all interested persons to verify the certification status of anyone claiming to hold ASNT NDT Level III certification. Verification may be quickly obtained by contacting the ASNT Technical Services Department at (614) 274-6003, or fax (614) 274-6899.

ASNT offers verification of ASNT NDT Level III credentials as a public service, free of charge.
