Safety Tips
Tips
for a safe stay in conference cities:
- Be aware and alert to your surroundings.
- Walk in the open or near the curb,
do not walk close to buildings or cars. Stay on the main thoroughfares
and in well-lit areas.
- Remove your meeting badge when
you are outside of the hotels and Convention Center; do not wear
fancy jewelry in plain sight.
- Carry your purse or brief case
close to your body.
- Do not leave valuables in your
hotel room; get a hotel safe deposit box.
- Travel in groups. Do not be a loner,
particularly in the evening.
- Abide by common sense: If something
looks suspicious, report it to the local authorities and/or avoid
it.
