The first step to an exciting and rewarding
NDT career starts here. Watch Choose NDT created by ASNT
for young people to introduce them to the nondestructive profession.

as well.
Choose NDT is an invitation to young people exploring careers
to learn about nondestructive testing (NDT) and the variety of jobs
available in this dynamic field.
The DVD is an entertaining tongue-in-cheek look at what nondestructive
testing may have been perceived as in the twentieth century versus
what an NDT career is in the new century.
Critical to public safety, NDT is the examination of an object or
material in a manner which does not damage them. Most people are not
aware of nondestructive testing, but its impact is everywhere: in
the buildings where we work, in the products we use, in the cars we
drive, the planes we fly in and the bridges we cross. Without NDT
the world would be a much more dangerous place.
NDT workers are part of one of the most exciting industries, working
in aerospace, extreme construction, offshore drilling, manufacturing,
even motorsports and theme parks. A career for the high technology
age, NDT offers opportunity, security, satisfaction, and challenge.
This is a field that opens the door to variety of career directions
from positions as technicians, engineers, and researchers to managers,
educators, trainers and business owners.
Show Choose NDT to young people and ask them to imagine
working at a world-renowned amusement park, a pipeline in Alaska or
being part of a space shuttle or aircraft carrier team. Request and
share the companion Choose NDT brochure which provides more
information about NDT and the variety of career options.
This DVD was produced by the American Society for Nondestructive
Testing. ASNT is a great place to learn more about NDT and to find
information about entering the nondestructive testing profession.
See what the training, educational and certification requirements
are and where to find those programs and resources to start an NDT
career. ASNT is an international nonprofit technical society organized
and operated exclusively for the purpose of advancing scientific,
engineering and technical knowledge of nondestructive testing.
For young people who are interested in high tech, hands on careers
where what they do really makes a difference, invite them to take
the first step by watching this presentation. It could be the first
step to helping them choose the career that is right for them, NDT.
