Title: NDT Field Rep
Location: Seattle, WA

1) Willingness to travel (approx. 50%) and perform Field and Factory evaluations of fire apparatus. Perform NFPA certification testing on Ground Ladders and Pumpers and will be trained on Certifying Aerial Devices (including aerial component weldment inspection).

2) Safety Inspections include evaluating products, materials and systems to established requirements. Identifying non-conformances and preparing reports. Reviewing management systems and capabilities to determine if they are suitable and effective for purpose of the UL programs. Evaluating alternate components and systems. Assisting in the promotion, marketing and selling of new and existing UL services. Working with internal and external customers to resolve technical problems.

NDT certification or classes are required. Must have NDT experience – if no NDT experience, please do not apply.

Candidate must possess a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability. Knowledge of Nondestructive testing required. IBM Laptop Computer/Lotus Notes/Word/Excel. Effective oral and written communication skills. Be a safe driver and have a good driving record (drivers license). Possess physical abilities and financial capabilities to travel. Must provide own Transportation for which a mileage allowance is paid. Candidate must be willing to travel, local and overnight travel will be required to visit multiple customer sites. Familiarity with basic measurement tools such as oscilloscope, calipers, etc. Ability to report data in a concise and timely manner.
