THE
ASNT LIBRARY
The ASNT Library began as an NDT archive when it
was dedicated in June 1990. Its first holdings were mostly archival
materials such as reference texts, conference proceedings, slides and
ASNT's own books in print. Through the generosity of ASNT members, and
other individuals in the nondestructive testing community, the collection
has expanded to include over 2,000 volumes of NDT texts, more than 200
research and association journals, and a specialized collection of subject
catalogs, indexes and computer databases.
Library Services
The ASNT Library offers the following
services: interlibrary loans (resource sharing), document delivery,
automated literature searches, photocopying, and access to the NDT
archives: reference materials, paper summaries, and conference proceedings.
Document Delivery
ASNT's journals, Materials
Evaluation and Research
in Nondestructive Evaluation, comprise an encyclopedic history
of nondestructive testing technology and methodology. Materials
Evaluation began its run in 1942. Research
in Nondestructive Evaluation began in 1989. Copies of all
articles are available for both journals. Document delivery rates
