Public Review Period
ASNT solicits public comment on proposed American National Standards during the public review period, which is normally 45 days in duration.
New proposed American National Standards will be available on this Web site during the public review period.
The revised sections of proposed revisions to current American National Standards will also be available on this Web site during the public review period.
You may also contact the SDC secretary (see below) to have either of the above emailed to you.
A fee of $20 (in US funds) is required to mail a hard copy.
Comments on current American National Standards are accepted at any time.
Current ASNT Standards are available for purchase at ShopASNT or by mail order.
Comment Guidelines
When submitting a comment, please cite the designation of the Standard or proposed Standard.
Comments may be either general or specific.
For comments on specific portions of a Standard or proposed Standard, please cite the section number of the Standard or proposed Standard.
Where possible, please provide alternative language for the proposed standard that, if adopted, would cause you to withdraw your comment.
Include your name and complete contact information; ASNT cannot respond to anonymous comments.
