Subject: Permission to reproduce TNT article  "Ridiography Enters theDigital Age" .

Good Morning Hollis,

My name is Dennis Berndt, I'm an instructor and radiation safety

officer at Ridgewater College Nondestructive Testing Department in

Hutchinson Minnesota.  Ridgewater College is part of the  Minnesota

State College System and we offer a two year nondestructive testing

degree designed to take new students and prepare them as entry level

NDT technicians.

Recently  reviewed Mr William Meades article on "Radiography Enters the

Digital Age" in the January 2004 TNT publication.   Great Job! His

article does a good comparison and is well written.  I would like

permission to reproduce this article and include it as required reading

in our advanced radiography training program.  In this section of our

training program students use  realtime, film , and computed

radiography to inspect several aircraft part and do a summary comparing

sensitivity of each method.  This article would be good information

reading prior to the completion the actual inspection.   I would like to

photo copy the first three pages of your  publication and include it in

the reference material each student receives.  We would be making

approximately thirty copies per year.

Thanks you for your time,

Dennis Berndt
