Update on ASNTs Response to COVID19

23 March 2020

I hope this message finds you safe and well. I am encouraged by the many emails and calls I’ve received from members letting me know that they are managing well, staying healthy, and doing what is necessary to limit the spread of COVID-19.

In this unprecedented time, we remain committed to transparency and keeping you up-to-date with how ASNT ISC operations are adapting with the current environment and the changes we continue to make to be as responsive to your needs as possible.

The ASNT ISC staff is in good health and observing all of the guidance provided by the CDC and State of Ohio, where the ISC is located. To that end, Ohio will be under a “stay-at-home” order effective tomorrow Tuesday, March 24 through Monday, April 6. What does this mean for you?

  • The ASNT store fulfillment staff will not be permitted to be onsite to fulfill and ship store orders as a result of Ohio’s “stay-at-home” order. All ASNT merchandise and hardcopy sales are temporarily halted until after April 6. While we expect business operations to resume at that time, we will notify you should the order be extended.
  • Certification cards and certificates will also not be mailed until our staff is back in the office.

You should also be aware of significant updates to ASNT’s events calendar. All events that were scheduled through the end of May 2020 have been rescheduled.

  • The ASNT Research Symposium 2020 will now take place on July 28–30 in New Orleans, LA co-located with the Digital Imaging and Ultrasonics for NDT at the Astor Crowne Plaza.
  • The ASNT Sections Leaders Conference (SLC) will also be in New Orleans at the same location on July 25–26.

I encourage you to continue to visit asnt.org/events for updates on ASNT events.
