The 2015-2016 ASNT Board of Directors Election Begins

1 July 2015

The American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc. (ASNT) begins its yearly Board of Directors elections 1 July 2015 with voting continuing through 21 August 2015.

Nominees for the Chair of the Board, President and Vice President for 2015-2016 are:
  • Chairperson of the Board: L. Terry Clausing
  • President: Kevin D. Smith
  • Vice President: David Bajula
Qualified candidates for the position of Secretary/Treasurer are:
  • Shant Kenderian
  • David Mandina
Nominees for the positions of Director at Large (three year terms) are: 
  • Mohammed A. Abufour
  • B. Boro Djordjevic
  • Michael V. McGloin

The (3) three eligible candidates (including write-ins) who receive the highest number of votes for the open positions shall be designated as the elected individuals. Eligibility regarding write-in candidates is determined at the close of the balloting.

Write-in candidates for each position on the ballot are allowed; to vote for an ASNT member, who is not listed on the ballot, write the full name of the member in the space indicated for that position. The ballot must be received on or before August 21, 2015. 

By 1 July 2015, all members for whom ASNT has an e-mail address will receive a balloting notification e-mail that will include voting instructions, a voter login identification, and a link to the election web page. ASNT will also mail paper ballots to all voting members for whom it has no e-mail addresses and by request. The completed ballots must be received on or before 21 August 2015.

The results of the election will be reported by September 1, 2015. Election results will be made public by 1 September 2015 on the ASNT website at www.asnt.org and will be published in the October issue of Materials Evaluation.

The elected individuals will be installed during the Annual Business Meeting at the 2015 Annual Conference which will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 26, 2015.   

The American Society for Nondestructive Testing, based in Columbus, Ohio, is an international technical society with over 15,000 members that provides a forum for exchange of NDT technical information; NDT educational materials and programs; and standards and services for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel.
