Speaker Review and Selection Process

The ASNT 2026 Technical Program Committee is made up of respected leaders and experts across a range of NDT methods and industries. The committee provides strategic direction for the conference program and reviews all speaker proposals.

ASNT is committed to a fair and thoughtful selection process. Speakers are selected based on demonstrated expertise, topic relevance, and alignment with the conference theme and program goals.

Speaker Selection Criteria

Each year, ASNT receives a high volume of submissions for a limited number of speaking opportunities.

Abstracts will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevance – Alignment with conference theme and attendee needs

  • Non-Commercial Focus – Content that is objective and free from sales pitches, product promotion, or marketing bias

  • Content Quality – Depth, accuracy, and practical application

  • Innovation and Originality – Fresh perspectives and forward-thinking insights

  • Expertise – Demonstrated knowledge in topic areas

  • Learning Value – Clear, actionable takeaways

  • Engagement – Interactive and participatory approach when possible (preferably beyond Q & A)

  • Clarity – Well-organized and clearly articulated abstract
