ASNT Standard for Qualification and Certification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (2024)
Defines minimum requirements for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel, including instructors and Levels I, II, and III. Includes updated guidance on examinations, vision requirements, proctor training, and digital image interpretation.
ANSI/ASNT CP-9712
Nondestructive Testing for Qualification and Certification of NDT Personnel (2023)
ISO 9712 is an international standard that provides guidelines for the global standardization of the qualification and certification of NDT personnel. The identical adoption of ANSI/ASNT CP-9712 (ISO 9712:2021):2023 was developed to provide the US with an American National Standard that would incorporate the provisions of ISO 9712:2021.
ANSI/ASNT ILI-PQ:
In-line Inspection Personnel Qualification and Certification (2023)
Establishes requirements for in-line inspection personnel working with inspection technologies, operations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards for pipeline systems. The employer-based standard includes qualification and certification for Levels I, II, and III.
ASNT Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A (2024)
Provides employer-based guidelines for establishing in-house NDT certification programs, including recommendations for training, experience, and education. The 2024 edition includes updated definitions, vision guidance, exam assessment recommendations, and reference to the ASNT 9712 Program.
